Canyon Lake Reservoir is situated midway between Austin and San Antonio near the resort town of New
Braunfels. It's one of the gems of the "Texas Hill Country." Its 87 miles of shoreline are lined with
limestone hills that tower several hundred feet above the water. The live oak and cedar forested hills and canyons are dotted
with vacation homes and wilderness too. The emerald green waters are clear and clean because of the limestone bottom...but
it's a blessing and a curse. The clear water makes for great fly fishing and lure presentations but it can render
the fish "spooky" too. Our trips target largemouth and smallmouth bass, striped bass, white bass (aka sand
bass) and carp and long nosed gar by request. Our guides specialize in fly fishing but they are experts
with conventional tackle too. Our expert guides have many years of professional experience guiding in Colorado,
Wyoming, Montana, British Columbia, Canada, the Texas Coast and Central Texas too. We run a Hewes 18 Light Tackle
Skiff with a 150 Yamaha and a Mako 18 LTS with a 115 Mercury and they are both designed for fly fishing with state of the
art trolling motors, sonar/fish finders, and GPS too. We offer Half Day trips(4 hours) for $400 and
Full Day trips (7-8 hours) for $550. We supply all of the tackle, flies and lures. On the half day trips
we include cold drinks and snacks. On the full day trips we include a boxed lunch and drinks.
